Cover Art Revealed and Special Print-eBook Bundle Announced for Reissue of First Two Titles in The Brotherhood of Dwarves Series

Seventh Star Press proudly announces the reissues of the first two books in The Brotherhood of Dwarves series, The Brotherhood of Dwarves, and Red Sky at Dawn.

To commemmorate the Seventh Star Press editions of these two titles, the publisher is offering special bundles that combine both the print and eBook versions of the books. Readers can get the first two books in this fashion, or a bundle of all three books in the series including the recently-released third title, The Fall of Dorkhun.

The Brotherhood of Dwarves and Red Sky at Dawn feature covers and illustrations from fantasy artist Bonnie Wasson. The latest artist to work with Seventh Star Press, Bonnie created and designed a new look for the first two titles that is consistent with the brand new third release.

The first two books were originally self-published by D.A. Adams and edited by Sherrie Shuler. They became strong sellers on the convention circuit and received a wave of positive reviews. The reissues were planned when D.A. came aboard Seventh Star Press for the release of his latest installment, The Fall of Dorkhun.

Living and working in East Tennessee, D. A. Adams is an established novelist, a farmer, and professor of English. He has contributed writing to literary and fine art publications, and maintains an active blog, entitled “The Ramblings of D. A. Adams”.

Softcover and eBook formats will be available by mid-February, with a collectors’ hardcover limited editions planned for mid-summer of 2012.

{January 10, 2012} {Cover Reveal} Shift by M.R. Merrick

Last year I had the privilege of reading a review copy of Exiled, by M.R. Merrick, and with it’s beautiful characterization and fast paced, action packed suspense, I was hooked. I absolutely loved Exiled, and have been on pins and needles awaiting the announcement of the sequel, Shift, ever since. So, I am extremely excited to inform you that the cover of Shift has just been released, with the novel to follow shortly (FEB 1, 2012) and… if you’re anything like me, you’re going to absolutely love it! I’m putting it next to the cover of Exiled so you can see just how amazing both covers are and, rest assured, the story inside them is just as epic! So, without further ado, I give you the covers and the synopsis for each (spoilers ensue with Shift).

Exiled Synopsis: Chase Williams is a demon hunter in the Circle, or at least he was supposed to be. On his fifteenth birthday, Chase stepped up to the altar to claim his elemental power, but it never came. Elemental magic is passed down to a hunter through the bloodline, but on Chase’s birthday, the bloodline stopped.

Exiled without the Circle’s protection, Chase has spent two years trying to survive a world riddled with half-demons and magic. When he has a run in with a frightened and seemingly innocent demon, he learns the Circle’s agenda has changed: the Circle plans to unlock a portal and unleash pure-blood demons into the world. Vowing to stop them, and knowing he can’t do it alone, Chase forms a reluctant alliance with Rayna — a sexy witch with an attitude and a secret.

Shift Synopsis: Devastated by the loss of his mother, Chase is trying to balance the life he’s been left with, a family he’s still getting to know, and power he never thought he’d have. But between getting interrogated by the Circle and psychic attacks from Riley, the Mark is the least of his concern. There’s a demon inside Rayna that’s fighting to be released, and it’s not her inner witch. It’ssomething else–a monster threatening to tear her apart.

As Chase struggles to control his magic, his enemies are closing in. Everyone has staked a claim on his ring, and destroying it may be his only chance to stop Riley. Every now and again, a book I read really takes me for a loop. It knocks me over, makes me stop and question everything, and leaves me reeling for days. And, every now and again, so does a cover. Tim O’Rourke has done both with his Black Hill Farm series, and so without further ado, I’d like to reveal O’Rourke’s new covers:

Aren’t they amazing? I am absolutely gaga over them; they’re perfect for the story—I am in awe. O’Rourke is an amazing writer and so far I’ve loved all his work, and his covers as well, but these two take the cake in terms of covers! WOW!

The scavenger hunt for the Six Moon Summer puzzle pieces has come to a close.

I am very excited to be one of the lucky reviewers to share this beautiful cover with you! Enemy Within, by Angeline Kace, is the second installment in the Vampire Born Series, sequeling the amazing novel Descended by Blood. If you haven’t read the first novel in the series, I highly suggest doing so, as Kace is diligently working on Enemy Within as we speak!
