And guess what else?
The third limited edition tee for Utopia is available until November 4! And once again, I am in love with this new design!
The idea behind the tee stems from “Whit & Ware and Indie-Visible, [who] have teamed up to create a series of eleven limited edition T-shirts (one per month) honoring the amazing Janet Wallace, and her incredible gift to us all….the place we all call home once a year – Utopia!” But after November 4, this particular design will disappear forever, so act fast!!
The next design will arrive sometime in November, and in case you were wondering, the “goal with these Limited Edition shirts is to raise funds so that we can provide UtopiaCon with killer branding all over the hotel such as standing banners with panel schedules outside every conference room, welcome banners at the hotel entrance, etc. We’re also handling the signing posters, some fun stuff for the writing cave, and some extra awesome swag for attendees. Any money that is left over will go to Janet Wallace, which she can use as she sees fit to make the 2016 the best year yet! We know how hard Janet works to give our crazy tribe an inspiring home every June, and we wanted to take some of the weight off her shoulders by taking care of all these details so she can focus on the big picture!”
And last but not least, as one of the official bloggers, we thought it would be great if we shared a little information about ourselves this month so you can get to know us better.
Q: What you do for work outside of blogging?
A: I teach high school English.
Q: What’s the one thing you feel you’ve gained by blogging?
A: Friendships with likeminded readers and authors across the globe. I had no idea that blogging book reviews was such a wide practice until I got into it, and it has been amazing.
Q: How did you find Utopia?
A: Tiffany King. She invited me to my first Utopia convention in 2013 and it was an absolutely amazing experience.
Q: What did you learn or gain at Utopia that you don’t feel you would’ve gotten anywhere else?
A: This was the first time I really understood that my opinion matters. It was also the first time I actually got to meet the authors and readers I had become friends with through blogging. Getting to meet my idols in person, and connecting with new authors, bloggers, and readers was so much fun—like a 3 day slumber party.
Q: How do you feel you contribute to the writer world at large?
A: Over the past year, I’ve begun betaing for both indie and traditionally pubbed authors. Being able to give feedback and contribute to the story makes me feel like a million bucks.
Q:What’s your ultimate blogging goal?
A:To share my love of reading with the world.
